I just inherited two Boston ferns and some other frilly-looking fern that were in hanging baskets. I have been playing guitar for about two years now. I love guitar, and I also bought a b about a year ago and i love playing that also. I went to my friends house one day and he had an electric drumset. He was pretty good, and he let me try it and I liked it alot. I was thinking about buying electric drums, and yes, I have tried a few sets at guitar center. I tried out the set I wanted to buy also (Simmons sd7k). Ive played acoustic drums too. I have another friend, and his older brother had a nice acoustic set, im not sure if it was a pearl or what the brand was. It was alot of fun also, but the difference between electric and acoustic didnt seem like it mattered much in terms of playing ability. They seemed about the same. I liked the idea of being able to adjust volume and use headphones, and have a broad range of different sounds you could include in the set. I mainly play metal/hardrock/grunge. And one more thing, I record all the time and another reason why I wanted electric was so that I could record for my own original songs, and so that I can use them for my band when we need to record. What should i do? I was honestly leading towards electric and I really liked the idea. I dont think my parents really wanted me to have acoustic anyways. But after reading pros and cons about electric I just dont know, experienced drummers dont seem like they like them very much. Im not sure what I should do. Should I get acoustic or electric?

I would say that the best position for you is a running back. Because you are slightly shorter meaning not above 6 foot that is a good height for a RB. You are really strong and can expect to gain weight which are good attributes for a RB. You don't need to have a ton of flat out speed to be RB just good side to side speed or good agility. Unless you get a lot taller I would say RB is the best spot for you. If you get a lot taller and a little faster I would say WR is better.

It's hard for us to ever understand the reasons behind people's actions because understanding will never come to those so alien to a situation. Reader's reactions to this question are aghast because even if they didn't have the perfect childhood they know that the punishments you went through were definitely more severe than they had to go through, (this is because your punishments weren't just physical, they were mental and emotional- children are very simple, almost like pets in doing things they find pleasurable or rewarding over and over again, so you slap a kids hand when he reaches for a cookie and he learns that if he reaches for a cookie he gets that pain so doesn't do it again), but that's necessary...humiliation, on the other hand is a whole different parenting system that rarely if ever be implemented to teach respect and should never be so severe as to what you went through...but that's besides the point, loyalty to an abuser is definitely not uncommon, and pyschologically you can't hate your adoptive parents no matter how hard you try because no matter how incorrect and damaging their parenting skills were, they obviously did treat you with *some* (I'm uming here) love because you took care of her instead of just leaving. Maybe even, hopefully, her sickness opened her eyes to her abusive and frankly scary behaviors, but doubtful. You have to try and figure out what she went through or why she would hurt you so, because that really must have been damaging to your self-esteem and crippling to your childhood, again, i am sorry you had to go through that. Your question is were you abused, I think you could say that. I think it's fair to say that you were abused, and the people on the outside will never understand why, you will never understand why, but honestly it could have been something wrong with her. It's a sad condition and everyone looks for the bad guy, but I think it's just one of those situations were you were the victim, now you have to cope, and hopefully find forgiveness for her. But, as I was trying to point out from the beginning, forgiveness starts with understanding, so do what you can. Good luck and best of wishes

The current leadership of the GOP have gone totally mad. Their hard sell isn't selling no matter how much they ramp up their attacks. The problem seems to be that Barack is basically a decent guy with his head on straight. People recognize that kind of quiet ability. Most people say that this is a guy I can work with. His demands are low keyed and mainstream. End a couple of wars, mend fences with other countries, get rid of as many atomic weapons as possible, do what can be done for the environment, move on to 21st century energy production, stop hounding gays and women who's choice is legal abortion, and do right by the American wage earner when it comes to health insurance, education and retirement. The right wing radio dummies call all of these things 'socialism', surrender, apology and every other negative they can get into their act between commercials. But the real question is...what is it that they want? Keep the wars going? More A-bombs? Forget about the environment? Keep dumping on gays and women? Do nothing about education, health insurance and retirement? Stick with oil and coal forever? So far I haven't heard anything practical from these people. Will we ever?

Just read another question and it got me thinking about the Andrea Yates case. (Mother that drowned her 5 kids but was later found insane) Should she have been the only person prosecuted in this case??? Her husband apparently pushed her to have baby after baby even when the doctors said that after her first nervous break down they needed to stop having kids. He forced her and her tons of kids to live in a renovated bus even though he worked for NASA and made good money. One day he had to come home because she was ready to hurt herself and the kids. Numerous times after she was hospitalized for being mentally unstable. YET THIS MAN CONTINUED TO LEAVE HER HOME ALONE TO CARE FOR 5 KIDS!!!! I do not condone what she did AT ALL. But I cant believe that he is allowed to walk away, re marry and get on with his life. Who else thinks he should have been prosecuted in some way or form as well?????

When you have Congress (both houses, both parties) with a less than 12% approval rating it should send a message to those hired to represent us that we are just plain not happy with their performance. When the politicians use cl envy and other divisive tactics like racism and the old us against them mentality to separate us, sides will be taken. Obama has constantly mentioned the rich and the poor, not as americans, but as sides to be taken. This spawns polarization and eventually in some cases, hate and violence.

Don't use veet again. It's really bad stuff for your skin. Probably it wil go away after a while. Just keep it clean with water without using chemical stuff. I used veet 2 a few times. happened to me 2. If it still hurst after a few days than you should see a doctor.

My school has a small group of girls called the Spirit Squad. We recently went to a home game and the opposing team had cheerleaders. We are not allowed to do floor cheers, but we can do sideline cheers. These cheerleaders took the floor every time out, while we were doing a cheer. We obviously did not stop our cheer, we started first. Our advisor is a past cheerleader. She said that the proper etiquette was to switch every other time, so we stopped a few times when they took floor. but they continued to take the floor time and time again, if we started a cheer before they did we would finish it. I arrived to school this morning and was told that my spirit squad was an embarrment to the school, I believe we were not rude, and I believe they should know the proper etiquette.
